I have talked about all of the amazing health benefits of ginger and garlic and my ginger garlic prawns are one of my quick and easy go to recipes when I want to get a lot of both. These can be served as an appetizer or as main dish. I like to serve them with whatever veggies I have on hand and some quinoa. They are Paleo, Whole3o compliant, gluten/dairy/sugar free and full of flavor!

Ingredients:

  • 1lb. Raw prawns peeled and deveined
  • Olive Oil
  • 5 fresh garlic cloves
  • About an inch piece of fresh ginger peeled and grated
  • 1/2 lemon juiced
  • A few grinds of black pepper
  • A few grinds of Trader Joe’s Everyday Seasoning

Directions:

Put a tablespoon of oil in a skillet.

Add minced garlic and ginger and fresh lemon juice.

Add prawns and other spices, stir until coated.

I like to let them marinate in the pan for a few minutes up to a half hour.

Turn burner on to medium heat and make sure prawns are in a single layer in pan.

Cook about 3 minutes on each side. You know they are ready to flip when they are pink around the edges and translucent in the middle (see picture 1). You know they are ready when they are pink (see picture 2) make sure to remove from heat if you overcook they can become tough.
