Green Detox Juice

I love fresh juice and it is an easy way to get a lot of nutrients into your diet quickly. My green detox juice is full of superfoods and detoxifiers. It is best to drink your juice right after you make it but you can always put the extra in a glass air tight container for later.

If you don’t have all of these ingredients it is still good without them I just like to try to add as many different nutrients as I can so I get as much into myself and my family as I can when I make it. This juice doesn’t have to be an exact science. I estimate and you can add or omit based on preference, dietary needs or availability.

Ingredients:

  • 2 handfuls of spinach
  • 1 handful of kale
  • 1/2 to 1 inch piece of fresh ginger peeled (I love ginger and its benefits so I add about an inch sized piece but it is strong)
  • 1/2-1 bunch cilantro
  • 1/2-1 bunch parsley
  • 1/4-1/2 anaheim pepper or something spicier to add some kick
  • 2 large carrots
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1 green apple
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1/2 bunch mint
  • approx. 1/2 inch piece of fresh turmeric peeled

Directions:

Put each ingredient through your juicer and add to large glass container.

I don’t have the best juicer so once the waste area is full of the pulp I remove it and put it through the juicer a second time to get anything else out that I can.

Add to container stir and serve.
